Father Poem.. by Shewa Osmani

I made this poem for my dad, hope you like it.

Wake up; it’s time to go to school.
I don’t want to go father,
I don’t like studying
 I like being a fool.
Wake up now, or you’ll be late.
Your school bus will leave it won’t wait.
I got up, got dressed in a big fuss.
Rushed down the rally to catch the old school bus.
Why isn’t the bus coming, oh no I am late.
My father was right; the bus left it didn’t wait.
I hurried back home with a sad face.
My father said don’t worry, I will take you
But first tie your shoe lace.
On the way to school I wanted food.
So my father takes me for breakfast in a nice neighborhood.
I ate so much, I am too full to walk now, I said.
So my father picked me up, put me behind his shoulders
And I hold on to his head.
He starts to walk and I feel so cool.
Soon I realized that we reached to school.

The clock is ticking
When will school end.
It won’t soon I know
Because the school just began.
The classes soon passed.
Now I am on my last.
The bell begins to ring.
From the joy I start to sing.
I start running down the hall.
I get knocked out by a big blue wall.
Students laugh, they make me sad.
I go nuts by yelling dad, dad.
They called my father the teachers say.
Now stop yelling, he is on his way.
In a big rush, he comes to me.
He hugs and holds me emotionally.
What happened, he quickly asked.
The pain went away father, it didn’t last.
Days pass by, we are a happy family.
Until that day comes, where my father gets really sick
And he can even speak barely.
He sees the doctor and says hi.
The doctor sadly says, to you I won’t lie.
The doctor looks straight in his eyes.
And tells him, it’s time for you to say your goodbyes.
Tears came out from the bottom of his heart.
By knowing that, this will break his family apart.
He can’t believe he has lung cancer.
Wondering why he looks up, but god doesn’t answer.

By knowing the truth behind the sickness of our father.
We couldn’t stop the tears from coming, especially our mother.
We did everything we could to save him.
From doctors to prayers, we even called priests for him.
None of my father’s medicines seemed to work the right way.
My father’s health got worst day by day.
By knowing that, his life would soon end.
We called the relatives and his close friends.
By giving a lot of courage to our dear father.
Our relatives gave us hope and said,
Leave everything to god, you guys don’t bother.
After hearing those words our life took a new turn.
I started going back to school and began to learn.
After school, my plans were to go see my father for the rest of the day.
But when I reached home, my cousins were sadly waiting for me and nothing seemed the right way.
My cousins hold me tightly and didn’t let go.
Their bodies were shaking and they spoke really low.
They told me, they have to take me to my father.
Everyone is there in the hospital, including your mother.
Praying to god, hoping my father is okay.
I reached the hospital and saw my relatives tearing in the hall way.
Holding my tears, I walked into the room of my father
I saw my siblings torn apart, especially my mother.
I felt the coldness of my father’s death.
I saw him laying cold in his final bed.
Believing it’s all just a bad dream I sat beside him.
I started feeling his hand and gently kissed him.
Tears of pain were dropping from everyone’s eyes.
It gets so hard to live, when your love one dies.
Years passed; still the pain of my father exists in my heart.
But I know that he is always with me even though we are apart.
I know he will be watching me, when I graduate.
He will even help me find the right guy to marry, so girls don’t hate.

Can't see your pain

I sing this to my Hubby whenever he feels alone. I want to let him know that I will always be there for him no matter how hard things get.

No you can’t stop trying; I’m here to hold your hand
I can see you've seen crying, can’t stand to see your pain.
I’ll hold your hand when you can’t find your way
I’ll help when you can’t make it through the day
I’ll be your guide when you’re too far from home,
And no one hears a word you say
When you feel like you’re losing everything
No you can’t stop trying; I’m here to hold your hand
My love, my love, my love is all you need
I can see you've been crying, Can’t stand to see your pain

A song

This is a Indian song. I love the English lyric. It reminds me of my past. Enjoy

Why did you break my heart?
Why did you fall in love?
Why did you go away? Away? Away? Away?

I Love Cats

This poem is by Lauri Richmond. I love this poem because it spreads awareness to adopting animals.
I love cats. This poem makes me want to  a adopt cat. But I can't because my mother won't let me. I'm sure when I read her this poem, she will let me. Enjoy.

I'm big and huggable, just like a teddy bear
I'm so happy I got adopted and put in their care

Before my new home, I lived on the cold streets
I really love this place, I even get treats!

No one wanted me before, since I'm a senior, you see
Yet I purr like a kitten and can still climb a tree

Please consider a pet that is older in years
We give lots of love and take away all the tears

Every Night

Although it's short, still has a great meaning attached to it.

Every night I say a prayer that you were here or I was there.
